Resources for everyone

The Bird Society of Singapore is committed to providing high-quality, openly available resources for the birding community. We serve everyone, from people picking up binoculars for the first time to researchers and conservationists working in the field.

The Singapore Bird Database holds accurate records of locally significant species on our Review Species list. If you encounter any of these, please submit a record through our portal.

We are a fully volunteer-driven organisation. Beyond hosting and equipment, every hour of work you see on our platforms is donated by birders, for birders.

Always open to all

All of our resources are freely available online, and all of our events are open to everyone. Membership is never a gateway to participation. Our membership is therefore limited to volunteers who are currently actively involved in developing these resources and running our programmes.
