Singapore Birds Project: Why record-keeping matters!

We know that Singapore has over 400 species of birds. But how do we know that this information is accurate? Who did all the data come from? And where can we find a consolidated platform with all these valuable information stored?

In our webinar, conducted in collaboration with the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum on 15 March 2022, we not only showcased our Singapore Bird Database – the only comprehensive database of rare birds in Singapore – but also shared about the deep history of ornithology in Singapore. This nation’s biodiversity history is not all about Raffles and Wallace!

We would like to thank LKCNHM for inviting us to the talk, and the over 100 participants who tuned in! And for those of you who weren’t free to watch us talk that evening, do not worry – the full talk was recorded and is available here!
